2.1 Drupal Training
Extended Module Feature Set: The following features are included with the Drupal Install, but require some additional configuration and customization. SE has found that the most efficient way to customize features is to do so while training the Client in the use of the site, thus providing custom-tailored functionality while empowering the Client to regularly update the site content. (For clients who wish to have SE perform continued site content management, SE will configure the site without including a training component). Available Modules are listed below, along with estimates of the time required to configure them and train the Client in their use.
Modules Include the Following:
Aggregator - Used to collect data (RSS Feeds) and generate pages on your site with them.
Book - Used to create handbooks and books
Comment - For comments
Contact - Per user and site wide contact forms
Events - Allows for events calendar functionality
Forum - Allows operability of site-hosted forums
Path - URL aliases: generate more readable links
Path-auto - Automatic URL alias generation.
Poll - To create polls among users.
Profile - Used to allow members to volunteer information and browse various fields.
Search - Site-wide searching of content and users.
Statistics - Provides detailed statistics to help us understand our Visitors, keep troublemakers away and improve performance.
Taxonomy - Handles the categorization structure used for the projects and forums.
Upload - Attaching files to posts (set up only for site maintainers).
Image - Used for displaying the various screenshot galleries.
Simplenews - Runs newsletter and other broadcast mailings.
Extended Theme Set Installed - Makes basic Drupal themes (stock page designs) available to client site administrator (does NOT include customization).
WYSIWYG editor enabled - “What-you-see-is-what-you-get” text editor. Allows client & other users to update site content without having to use html or php code.
Permissions (admin role configuration) - Assigns distinct access to the site for different classes of users: administrators, limited-access users, logged-in users, etc.
Site Name, Mission, Footer information Input - Basic site information. Includes guidance on basic search engine page rank criteria & how the site may function.
